Colorful Blocks at Launch Party

What do you get when you put 200 designers in a room together?

Thanks to the Denver Design Week launch party, we now have the answer: a toast bar, a 13-foot robot, a make-your-own-chalk station, a 20-foot adult coloring wall and a whole lot of inspiration.

And the launch party was just the beginning. The first ever DDW brought Denver’s creative Equity by Design Denver Design Week Panel 2016community together for eight days of conversation and celebration.

Sessions covered topics on architecture, technology, urban planning, design thinking and branding.

Our absolute favorite session of the week was hosted by SideCar client ELEMENTS. The panel, Equity by Design: Why We Need to Represent the Demographics We Serve was made up of six dynamic, inspiring women who have carved out highly successful careers for themselves right here in Denver. The discussion focused on the importance of mentoring and how to help advance women in the A&D industry.

Colorful Chalk Board

In its first year, Denver Design Week managed to bring a community together, provoke thoughtful conversation and celebrate why good design matters. We already have our calendars marked for next year.
