Denver’s booming hotel scene shows no signs of cooling off anytime soon and as specialists in the commercial real estate space, we love keeping tabs on all the new projects breaking ground and opening for business.

One of our favorite trends right now? Stellar hotel restaurants. Gone are the days of the ho-hum hotel fare. Denver hottest hotels are opening with some of the city’s most-buzzed about restaurants and bars under the same roof!

This week we’re checking in on some of these new hospitality spaces and bringing you along for the ride.

The Maven

This 172-room boutique hotel transformed Denver’s Dairy Block after opening in March and quickly became a hotspot for travelers and locals alike to grab a delicious bite to eat at one of the two on-site eateries, Kachina Southwestern Grill and Poka Lola Social Club. (sidebar: The Maven was designed by SideCar client JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE). The scene at Dairy Block is about to heat up even more with the recent announcement of Milk Market, an Eataly-style food hall that will feature 14 restaurant and bar concepts from renowned Denver restaurateur Frank Bonanno.

Kimpton Hotel Born

Located just steps off the platform at Denver’s Union Station, the 200-room Kimpton Hotel Born brings another luxury hotel offering to LoDo. This new property boasts a modern alpine-inspired aesthetic and a curated, entirely original art collection. The food and beverage offerings were developed by local and national industry veterans. Citizen Rail bills itself as a grill-centric restaurant where patrons can watch acclaimed chef Christian Graves prepare house-aged and butchered cuts of meat in the open kitchen and on the custom wood-fired grill. For those seeking authentic Italian fare, the property is also adjacent to Tavernetta which was developed by the group behind Boulder’s famed Frasca Food and Wine.

AC by Marriott/Le Méridien Denver Downtown

This summer, the first dual branded AC by Marriott/Le Méridien hotel in the world opened in Denver. This 495-room hotel is also the first hotel to combine the Marriott and Starwood brands since the two companies merged. Restaurant offerings include the requisite lobby bar and Corrine, a modern American restaurant developed by a Michelin-star-rated group. Where this property really shines though is 54Thirty, Denver’s highest open-air rooftop bar. Come for the craft cocktails and globally inspired bites, but plan to stay for the unparalleled views of the Mile High City.

Following this round of openings, we’re already looking ahead to the new properties that will arrive on the scene in the coming months including The Ramble Hotel, The Jacquard Hotel and the Source Hotel. We’ll continue to keep you posted on the latest projects in the hospitality sector. In the meantime, let us know if you have any favorite hotel restaurants that should be on our radar!
